NEW! STUDENT PUBLICATION PROGRAM

I've started a new business.

The mission of Class Act Creative is to give young authors and artists a chance to see their work in print. If you're looking for a way to improve K-5 student academic skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression—and boosting self confidence—this is it. My micro-mini print-on-demand press, designed to publish student art and writing, has affordable programs for elementary schools and districts to publish student work in a trade quality paperback book. Nonprofits also welcome. Visit the Class Act Creative website for more information.

GOOD READS

MONSTERS DON'T EAT BROCCOLI
by Barbara Jean Hicks
Illustrated by Sue Hendra

The waitress in this restaurant just doesn't have a clue.
Monsters don't eat broccoli! How could she think we do?

"Too much fun to limit to kids who don't like broccoli!"
Publishers Weekly

Be Wize, Give Love:
Kids' Advice on Living Like You Mean It
Barbara Jean Hicks, Editor

It's Summer! What's in Season Now?
by Peggy Curry
Illustrated by Therese Trebaol

This nutrition education fundraiser for the nonprofit organization GrowingGreat follows Sam and Annie through their local farmers' market, where they discover what's in season now. Beautifully illustrated! Includes a quartet of seasonal recipes. Fresh peach crisp, anyone?

BE WIZE, GIVE LOVE and IT'S SUMMER! WHAT'S IN SEASON NOW? are published through my new micro-mini print-on-demand press. If your school or nonprofit has a project you are interested in publishing, visit the Class Act Creative website for details.
